This is movie has a very deliberate pace.  I think Leone fell in love with himself trying to put this thing in the context of the Civil War.  Still, it looks pretty cool and you get to hear lots of cannonball sound effects.  My favorite character is Tuco (ugly) though all three of the leads to a good job of being tough.

The last couple of scenes are quite a payoff, too finally culminating with the line above.  Everything that happens at the graveyard is awesome and I really liked this line:

“There are two kinds of people in this world:  People with loaded guns and people who dig.  You dig.”  I also really enjoyed the tagline written in the IMDB.  However, I don’t think teh end payoff counterweighs the rest of the film enough to make it better than Fistful of Dollars and A Few Dollars More.

I remember you and Jason talking about watching this. Ben was impressed that I made it the whole way through.

I didn’t object to watching Tuscan Sun so I don’t think I get any payback. It was just one of those situations where it seemed like the logical choice.
